Standard 7-Step Program

  1. Early Spring: Complete balanced start-up fertilizer with pre-emergence herbicide.
  2. Late Spring: Complete balanced slow release fertilizer, a second application of pre-emergence crabgrass control and broad leaf weed control.
  3. Lime Treatment: Fast acting pelletized calcium application designed to raise soil Ph and increase fertilizer effectiveness.
  4. Early / Mid Summer: Complete balanced slow release fertilizer, and broad spectrum insecticide for control of surface feeding, lawn damaging insects.
  5. Mid / Late Summer: Inspection of the lawn to check for disease, insects and proper watering and mowing practices. Lawn will be spot treated with herbicide to control any existing weeds, nutsedge or crabgrass.
  6. Late Summer / Early Fall: Complete balanced fertilizer to help rejuvenate summer stressed lawns, and broadleaf herbicide.
  7. Late Fall: Organic based balanced winterizer fertilizer to help increase root development and carbohydrate reserves for earlier green-up next spring.

Core Aeration

Power core aeration is one of the most important cultural practices available for your lawn. Aeration helps control thatch, improves the soil structure, helps create growth pockets for new roots, and opens the way for water and fertilizer to get into the root zone of your lawn.
Annual or semi-annual aeration is advised for all lawns on heavy clay soils, those with a moderate thatch build-up, and any lawn that needs to be “thickened up”.
Performed once or twice per year, aeration significantly reduces thatch and improves turf growth.

Grubs

There are several types of white grubs that feed on the roots of lawn grasses. All of them can cause severe damage if left untreated.
Grubs live and feed in the soil. It’s easy to miss them as they gradually cut the roots out from under your lawn until brown patches begin to appear and the grubs are finally discovered.
DON’T WAIT!
Grubs don’t disappear on their own. They should be treated before damage begins to appear, or as soon as they are discovered. When discovered early enough in the year, a preventive treatment can be applied. When damage appears in the fall, a fast- acting curative treatment is needed.

Disease

Of all lawn-damaging pests, fungus diseases are some of the most difficult to tame. There are hundreds of diseases that can infect your turf. Some are relatively harmless, while others can destroy an entire lawn in a very short time.
Fungus spores spread in the wheels of lawn mowers, on the shoes of children, on the droplets of water that bounce from plant to plant during rainfall or watering, or by wind.
Every lawn has disease organisms. The trick is not letting them get the upper hand.

Lawn Renovation

We can make your lawn look new again. Your renovated lawn will be the envy of the neighborhood. A beautiful lawn is not only a valuable asset, but also a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends.
Your lawn is one of the first things people notice when they arrive at your home. But lawns often have a tendency to deteriorate over time. This can happen for a variety of reasons including the use of weak grass varieties; invasion by weeds, diseases or insects; poor soil conditions; thatch buildup; compaction or combination of any or all of these factors.
Renovation is a simple way of transforming an unattractive landscape into something spectacular. By eliminating weeds and undesirable grasses, while introducing quality seed varieties, this cost-effective procedure provides a thick, green lawn. With proper care and maintenance, it is a lawn that will be a source of pride for many years to come.
